Outdoor School - September 2019
Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1
Our Learning objectives were:
-
To be able to explore the woodland safely and
-
To build a mini shelter
Everyone enjoyed a story before being introduced to our woodland friends Oscar and Isaac (teddy hedgehogs). The children shared a story about how Oscar and Isaac needed a new home. The children set to work making mini shelters using natural materials taking into account their location and the materials that would be suitable. We also thought about how woodland creatures make their own homes.
Each child were given their own "Wild Passport" which keeps a record of their skills and progress in Outdoor School learning.
