Outdoor School - January 2020
Key Stage 2
The children identified different wildlife living in the woodland environment and went on a hunt to see if they could spot any places where animals live, called habitats, then as a group we discussed the suitability of different habitats. We thought about what wildlife must consider when it chooses a habitat and why, including security from predators, food supply and location.
Then children worked individually and in groups to create their own habitats taking into account these factors and using only natural materials. The children then showed each other their habitats and discussed any difficulties they had encountered.
