Outdoor School - March.

We began the day learning about food chains. Working in teams we had to find three hidden food sources and order them, identifying the producer and the consumer. We made a food chain web using string to link the consumer to different producers.

We then looked for new life and changes in the woods. KS1 used magnifying glasses to play "New Life I-Spy". We found lots of different kinds of insects and noticed that many of the plants were producing buds, we even spotted a nest with chicks in it. 

In the afternoon we had fun playing woodland games, KS2 played "Woodland Pick up Sticks" and KS1 played "Woodland Sardines". We then created our own woodland games using natural resources.
